Fall is sneaking up on us and the details for the fall retreats are set! This year I have expanded to six quilt retreats – adding a third retreat in Ashland, NE and changing one retreat to Canton, SD. The registration forms are available on the Quilt Retreats page by clicking here.

NEBRASKA, IOWA & SOUTH DAKOTA: The new quilt is recognizable as a Tumbling Block Quilt with a 3D-like movement to it. We’ll piece this quilt using two simple blocks, a “Square-in-Square” and “Flying Geese” and NO “Y-Seams!”

Back by popular demand, we’re also offering the Weaver Fever Three-ver Quilt. We first used this pattern at a retreat in 2005 and it’s been requested by several women to repeat. Using strip sets of three values of two different colors, you can create a stunning 3D basket-weave masterpiece.

KENTUCKY: New and existing friends, laughter, great food, quilting and YOU are invited! Join us this fall as we sew either the Bella quilt or Marble Pools quilt with your choice of fabrics.  The Bella can be made in either a soft floral collection or warm fall collection.  The Marble Pools quilt is more contemporary and while the main four colors of the quilt are chosen, the “pools” are pre-cut and ready for you to design!

The March retreat is complete and it was a huge success with 19 scrap-happy quilters! Below are some pictures of completed Pineapple Square blocks. Do you have a ‘bucket list’ of quilts you have always wanted to make? If so, I bet the Pineapple Block is on that list.
